Many of the items used every day contain a substance that is otherwise known as latex. Latex is used with products, such as gloves, undergarments, band-aids and various other things. Hospitals are famous for using products that are made with latex.
However, many people cannot tolerate the latex and will their immunity will respond in a negative manner when coming in contact with it.
When a child gets a shot or vaccination, a band-aid with latex is placed over the area that was given the shot. The child may begin to cry or say that the band-aid is hurting in the area it has been applied.
This could be because of the latex irritating the skin. If there is an allergic reaction to latex, the skin can become inflamed, red and burn. Use Vaseline or baby oil to remove it.
